Energy Vault and NV Energy recently achieved a significant milestone with the completion and commercial operation of the Reid Gardner Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) in Moapa, Nevada.
The 220 MW grid-tied BESS, located on the grounds of a retired coal-fired electric generating facility, represents a transformative step towards sustainable energy management in the region.
This two-hour energy storage system, managed by NV Energy, effectively harnesses Energy Vault’s integration platform and energy management system to enhance grid reliability and enable the seamless integration of renewable energy sources.
