Strata Breaks Ground on 1 GWh Phoenix Energy Storage Project

Strata Clean Energy, a leading energy solutions provider, has announced the groundbreaking of its Scatter Wash battery storage complex in Phoenix. The 255 MW facility, set to become operational in April, is poised to cater to the energy needs of Arizona Public Service (APS) customers.

The achievement is a result of a 20-year tolling agreement entered into with APS, following their All-Source RFP conducted in 2022. Strata will construct, own, and operate the Scatter Wash project, further expanding its portfolio of clean-energy assets.

Partnering with Mortenson as the project’s Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) partner, Strata is leveraging Tesla’s Megapack 2XL battery system, further solidifying its position at the forefront of innovative energy solutions.

In embracing this groundbreaking initiative, Strata Clean Energy underscores its commitment to advancing sustainable energy solutions, driving economic growth, promoting local job creation, and spearheading the transformation towards a cleaner, more resilient energy landscape.
