Terabase Partners with Leeward, RES on White Wing Ranch Installation

Terabase Energy recently achieved a significant milestone in renewable energy with the completion of its first commercial project. The company successfully installed 17 MW of solar capacity at the White Wing Ranch project in Arizona, marking a step forward in the pursuit of a terawatt-scale solar power future. This feat was made possible through the utilization of Terabase’s innovative Terafab construction automation platform.

The Terafab system played a critical role in attaining several project milestones. Firstly, it provided workers with shaded and cooled working conditions, enabling the seamless operation of the solar installation in the arid desert environment. By eliminating the manual lifting of heavy steel tubes and solar panels, the Terafab system significantly enhanced labor productivity, delivering a 25% increase compared to traditional manual installation methods.

One notable aspect of the project was Terabase Energy’s commitment to sustainability. By utilizing their Terafab platform, they were able to achieve a 100% return of PV module packaging, allowing for reusability by the manufacturer. This comprehensive approach highlighted their dedication to reducing waste and embracing environmentally conscious practices within the industry.

The successful implementation of the project was made possible through a collaborative effort. Terabase Energy worked closely with developer Leeward Renewable Energy and EPC contractor RES to bring this vision to life. The partnership not only demonstrated the effectiveness of the Terafab system but also laid a solid foundation for future projects. Furthermore, Terabase Energy’s Terafab system was deployed alongside their Construct digital twin software, showcasing the interoperability between their existing product offerings and physical field applications in managing and monitoring solar power plant construction.

The completion of the White Wing Ranch installation project not only signifies the technological prowess of Terabase Energy but also highlights the industry’s determination to embrace automation and innovation. As renewable energy continues to evolve, collaborations like this will prove instrumental in shaping a sustainable and clean energy future.
