EDF Turns to SOLARCYCLE for PV Panel Recycling

EDF Renewables North America has recently forged a collaborative agreement with SOLARCYCLE, aiming to recycle damaged or broken solar panels that arise during the construction and operation of its grid-scale, distribution-scale, and on-site solar projects.

SOLARCYCLE’s cutting-edge proprietary technology enables the extraction of 95% of the value from recycled panels. This includes precious materials such as silver, silicon, copper, aluminum, and glass, setting a notable benchmark in the industry. Currently, the standard recycling process only recovers less than 50% of these valuable resources.

The recycler’s patented processes continue to evolve, extracting increased value from each panel. Merged with efficient reverse logistics, SOLARCYCLE offers EDF Renewables the lowest-cost recycling solution, ensuring enhanced environmental benefits and supply chain resilience.

The partnership between EDF Renewables and SOLARCYCLE not only positions EDF as a prominent clean energy company worldwide but also demonstrates their dedication to engaging in crucial sustainability initiatives such as PV (photovoltaic) panel recycling.
