Silfab Solar, a prominent PV module manufacturer based in North America, is set to release a premium line of TOPCon PV modules in the first quarter of 2024. These modules have been specifically engineered and designed to cater to both residential and commercial markets in the United States.

Driven by the rapid advancements in U.S. cell-manufacturing capabilities, Silfab aims to become the first U.S. solar manufacturer to deliver TOPCon modules that incorporate domestically produced N-type TOPCon cells by 2024. By doing so, the company solidifies its position as an ethically sourced and reliable U.S. solar energy module partner.

The Silfab Commercial NTC modules, manufactured exclusively in the United States, will offer increased power output, higher efficiency in low light conditions, consistent performance in high temperatures, and improved shade tolerance. These modules will be available in the first half of 2024 and come with Silfab’s 25-year product and 30-year linear performance warranties, ensuring customers receive a dependable and long-lasting solution.

Silfab Prime NTC, which builds upon the company’s premium residential modules, offers a visually appealing black aesthetic. These TOPCon modules will be exclusively manufactured in North America for the U.S. residential solar market, providing homeowners with an elegant and efficient solar solution.

In mid- to late-2024, Silfab is scheduled to begin operations at its third U.S. facility, which will house its own cell-production line. With an initial annual capability of 1 GW cell production and an additional 1.2 GW of PV solar module assembly, this facility represents Silfab’s strategic effort to manage its supply chain more effectively and ensure premium quality components for its panels.

Following the production schedule, Silfab plans to incorporate domestically produced N-type TOPCon cells into its most advanced TOPCon PV modules. These modules will be fully assembled at a USA facility, with deliveries expected later in 2024.

Apart from the release of TOPCon modules, Silfab will also unveil the next generation Silfab Elite 430 BG+ in early 2024. The Elite series represents Silfab’s pinnacle of excellence, featuring the proprietary X-Cell design and back contact integrated cell design for optimal performance and maximum durability. Adding to this, the Silfab SIL 430 BG+ will offer additional half-cell features that contribute to increased power output and improved durability.
