Asteelflash/USI, an esteemed global manufacturer of electronic components, is proud to announce the launch of its state-of-the-art manufacturing line in the United States. This exciting development comes as part of its strategic partnership with Nextracker Inc., one of the leading providers of intelligent and integrated solar tracker and software solutions for utility-scale and distributed generation solar projects.
Within the expansive 197,000-square-foot facility located in Fremont, California, Asteelflash has made a significant multi-million-dollar investment in creating a dedicated manufacturing line for Nextracker products. This pioneering collaboration not only generates new jobs, but it also strengthens the local economy.
The manufacturing line will focus on the production of Nextracker’s cutting-edge and patented self-powered controller (SPC) and high-voltage power supply. Among the key components manufactured are the printed circuit board assembly (PCBA), battery integration, and other essential components integral to Nextracker’s advanced solar tracking technology, which is deployed worldwide.
Nextracker controllers serve as the “brain” and power supply that facilitates precise control of the company’s flagship product, NX Horizon. By utilizing this technology, large-scale solar power plants can optimize their performance. Moreover, Nextracker’s SPCs are renowned for their high reliability under diverse conditions and are powered by a battery, allowing the trackers to function even during grid power outages.
By enhancing its mechanical assembly production lines, Nextracker is significantly bolstering its supply capacity for both the domestic and export markets. This achievement is the result of opening over ten new U.S. production facilities in collaboration with key suppliers over the past year. In 2022 alone, Nextracker inaugurated four new steel fabrication lines in Texas, Arizona, Pennsylvania, and Illinois. Adding to their impressive manufacturing footprint, Nextracker also recently announced the establishment of an additional steel tracker factory in Tennessee.
This significant milestone in solar power technology manufacturing signifies a remarkable leap forward for both Asteelflash/USI and Nextracker. By investing in domestic production capabilities, the collaboration not only propels job growth but also enables the provision of cutting-edge solar tracking solutions. As the solar industry continues its tremendous growth, Asteelflash/USI and Nextracker are positioned to meet the evolving demands of this sustainable and vital sector.
