Babcock & Wilcox Solar Wins 25 MW of Community Solar Energy Projects Across Illinois, USA

Akron, Ohio-based Babcock & Wilcox Solar Energy Inc., a subsidiary of Babcock & Wilcox Enterprises Inc., has recently secured contracts worth over $20 million from Summit Ridge Energy LLC. These contracts involve the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) of 25 MW of community solar energy projects across Illinois.

Having already established a successful track record with Summit Ridge Energy, Babcock & Wilcox Solar Energy Inc. previously completed a $15 million community solar project in March 2023, followed by a $20 million project in 2022.

The engineering, procurement, and construction responsibilities for the six photovoltaic solar projects will be handled by Babcock & Wilcox Solar Energy Inc., with project completion expected by 2024.
